A case for Apple moving to SSD: Power Nap

From Apple Support:

The MacBook Air (Late 2010, Mid 2011, Mid 2012) and MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012) running Mountain Lion can use Power Nap.

Credit goes to Rene Ritchie of iMore on MacBreak Weekly who raised an interesting point about Apple potentially moving all Macs to SSD – Power Nap is only available on Macs that have SSD (excluding CTO SSD options). This was one of the champion features of Mountain Lion so it makes sense that future Macs are able to support it, which fuels the speculation of the iMac moving to 2.5” drives to support SSD.
