Parents’ Guide to iTunes

Apple have added a new section to the App Store on the iPad (at least here in the UK) designed to educate parents about how they can best manage their kids’ App Store usage.

The new section covers Parental Controls, Passcode lock and managing their account by using gift cards instead of having a credit card on file.

The link is available on the main App Store page so it’s in a prime location for parents to view and read. I’ve said before that Apple needed to raise awareness of the parental controls feature and, apart from sending Bob Mansfield to their house and intimidate them into reading it, there’s nothing really more Apple can do to get parents to do their part.
