It doesn’t take long for the Apple TV’s home screen to become cluttered with apps. Fortunately, these can be organized into folders, just like in iOS, using two different methods.

  1. Navigate to the app you want to organize and then long-press the Touch surface on the Siri Remote until the apps starts to jiggle
  2. Either:
    • Use the Touch surface to move the app into an existing folder, or place it over another app–just like in iOS
    • Press the Play/Pause button to bring up a menu that has options to create a new folder, or select the name of the folder you want to move the app to

While using the Touch surface to move apps on the TV screen is good for reorganizing the placement of apps in folders or on the home screen, the Play/Pause button is the best way to quickly place apps into folders.
