Mail saves any messages you’re drafting in the respective mail account’s “Drafts” folder. You can navigate to this folder and tap the message to continue working on it. If you have multiple mail accounts, or frequently work with drafts, you might find yourself constantly moving between mailboxes and folders just to access your Drafts.

There’s a much easier way, however, as Mail provides a shortcut for viewing your drafts across all mail accounts without needing to leave the folder you’re in.

  • In Mail, tap and hold the Compose button
  • A pop-up menu then appears with the option to either create a new message or select a previous draft
  • Tap the draft you would like to use to resume editing
